2.6 GPS Receive Antenna
In order to achieve the best system performance, it is highly recommended that the GLI-COBRA system
receive the L1 and L2 GPS signals from the aircraft’s GPS antenna system (e.g. via the AEU/GAS-1 MCR
output). In the event that the aircraft is not equipped with an available GPS signal source, the GLI-COBRA kit
includes a GPS receive antenna on a suction-cup hinge mount that may be mounted behind the windscreen on
the flight deck. This antenna should be positioned so as to avoid interference with the flight crew and to make
as much of the open sky visible to the receive antenna as possible.
Note: Positioning of the GPS receive antenna behind the windscreen on the flight deck may result in a
significant reduction in visibility of GPS satellites if not properly oriented. Consequently, system
performance may be severely reduced. Installation of the GPS receive antenna should not interfere
with crew movement or safety.

2.7 Mounting Hardware
The GLI-COBRA GPS Retransmission Kits come standard with various antenna mounting brackets, Velcro
and nylon straps for ensuring safe, easy installation of the system.
